VERNISSAGE OF THE NEW EXHIBITION: "SALT & GOLD or CAN WE COOK WITHOUT SALT?"

Is really salt above gold? Why did the need for salt bring about one of the best known tales? What was the backstage of its best known film adaptation There was once a king... (1955) like? These and many other questions will be answered in the new exhibition, which offers fun for the whole family. The exhibition introduces a few best known stylized scenes from the phenomenal film, brings you to the kitchens, to the sweet feast or the the chambers of princess Drahomíra. You may try wearing stylized replicas of select preserved costumes from the film. You will see various Czech and foreign book adaptations of the tale and learn more than you ever thought possible about salt and its history. This new exhibition brings small surprises and various creative craft activities and as such complements the well loved Interactive exhibition of human skills.
